Notre Dame Sports:
We're only 30 minutes from the campus.
College Football
Hall of Fame: Located in downtown South Bend, less than 30
minutes from our clubhouse, the College
Football Hall of Fame is a
must for any football fan visiting the area.
Golf:
If you like getting in a couple of late-season rounds, bring your
clubs. There are several courses within 30 minutes of our
clubhouse, the closest being Brookwood
Golf Course (about 10 minutes south).
The Dunes:
Warren Dunes State Park is about a 20-minute drive to our
west. There, you can enjoy a walk on the shore of Lake
Michigan, hike the dunes, or take a climb up Tower Hill, a
200-foot sand dune that gives you a distant view of Chicago when
the weather is right. With the proper permits, you can even
hang-glide off Tower Hill.
Night Life:
Being the college town that it is, South
Bend has a wide range of
dance clubs, sports bars, theaters and restaurants. Other
area towns have some nice nice places as well. We can help you
find what you're looking for.
Gambling: The casinos in Michigan City and Gary, Indiana
and New Buffalo, Michigan are anywhere from 45 minutes to just
over an hour to our west.
Wineries:
Are you a connoisseur? Visit the Tabor
Hills Winery is only 10 miles west of our clubhouse. They have
an excellent restaurant as well. There are several other
vineyards you can visit within a 30-mile radius.
Fresh Fruit:
Southwestern Michigan produces some of the best tasting fruit
you'll find anywhere. We're known for our apples, peaches,
and cherries, and we're one of the top blueberry-producing areas in the country. There are a large
number of Farm Markets and U-Pick Farms in the immediate area.
Shopping:
South Bend has a wide variety of shops, including the University Park Mall. The
mall area is thick with stores and
shops of all kinds. Michigan City and Kalamazoo also have
nice malls, and shopping the bluff in St. Joseph with a view of
Lake Michigan is always a good time.
Antiques:
Red Arrow Highway between New Buffalo and Bridgman, Michigan
(about 30 minutes west of our clubhouse) offers a large number of
antique shops.
